It's shooting a couple of inches to the right, so I apparently need to tap the rear sight base to the left. I have the 7000 which is the heavy barrelled version of the 795 w/o sights. It's a excellent rifle BTW except for a heavy trigger pull. The groove is a standard 3/8th dovetail grove people have been puting in 22s forever. To me at least all the Marlin semis seem to be based on the model 60 receiver or something darn close.
